Great Barrier Reef Adventures
Explore an amazing underwater world
A full day reef adventure
Visiting the Great Barrier Reef is one of the 'must do's' in the Whitsundays and naturally we know you want the best, I mean how often can you say you're at the Great Barrier Reef right? So this is where we come in...
What does the day involve?
Cruise through the stunning Whitsundays National Park and on to the outer Great Barrier Reef, one of the world's most stunning natural attractions.
Explore our pristine reef site at Hardy Reef from the base of our large floating pontoon. The lagoon is acclaimed as one of the region's most spectacular Great Barrier Reef sites!
Discover the underwater wonderland and be amazed by the colourful corals and abundance of marine life - it's an out-of-this-world experience!
Discovering the underwater world
There are many ways that you can explore the colourful underwater world. You don't even have to get wet! Our 'stay dry' options include the underwater viewing chamber, where you can watch the antics of tropical fish (and divers!), or a fascinating semi-submersible ride. The semi-sub takes you on a cruise around the reef, getting you up close to a variety of coral and fish life. The experience is just like snorkelling or diving, but you don't get wet! You can chill out on the sun deck of the pontoon and admire the great expanse of the reef around you. The aqua colour of the water will astound you. If you really want a good view, then take to the skies with a heli-flight. The flight is an additional cost, but is an experience of a lifetime!
For those happy to dive in, you can snorkel the day away! Snorkelling is an incredible way to see the reef and if you haven't done it before, we have plenty of staff on hand to help you out. Diving is an additional cost, but it simply can't be beaten. We offer both introductory dives and certified dives.
This is a fully inclusive day cruise, so throughout the day you won't need to be reaching for your wallet. Of course, a big day out on the water means you'll have a good appetite, so all tea and coffee as well as morning and afternoon tea and an all-you can-eat buffet lunch are included. We also include all snorkelling gear, semi-submersible rides, access to the underwater viewing chamber, wetsuit usage and complimentary coach pick up and drop offs for those staying at Airlie Beach.
WE CARE ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT
Included in your cruise fare is a per head fee which goes to the Government. The money collected is used by the Authority for the management and protection of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. The charge applies to both Great Barrier Reef Adventures and Camira Sailing Adventure.
